POSA is very happy to be able to organise this wonderful event after the last period of forced closure due to the Covid-19 emergency.

These two competitions are a reference point for the entire world Pole community.

In 2021 we have a new challenge to face: the health protection of athletes and participants linked to Coronavirus pandemic. The Municipality of Bologna and POSA have set up a concept aiming to respond to the updated international and national legal framework. Moreover, for the Worlds 2021 the organizational committee has engaged, among other specialists, a “COVID Manager” who is coordinating a task force to secure participants for all the phases: before the arrival, during the event and after the worlds. Participants should also know that a safety event is possible as much as behavior of participants move accordingly with the anti COVID measures adopted.

Our motto: Let’s participate safely in Worlds 2021!

How to arrive in Bologna

by Car

The city is at the junction of the A1, A14 and A13, and so is easily accessible from all over Italy.
Most traffic from Milan exits the A1 and take the Tangenziale but watch out for this road at rush hour as it is terribly crowded.

by Plane

Bologna is served by an international airport (Guglielmo Marconi Airport), which is very well served by many European and non-European airlines.
In many cases, it is possible to find a direct flight to Bologna from many international destinations.

by Train

Bologna is one of Italy’s most important high-speed railway stations and can be reached by train from virtually any city in Italy.
For example, from Roma Termini to Bologna Centrale, there are trains every hour, which reach Bologna in less than two hours. From Milan, in less than one hour.

POSA Technical Regulations stipulate that all participating federations or athletes must assume all costs in relation to the medical insurance of all delegation members (illness and accidents). The Local Organising Committee has the right to verify the validity of the insurance upon arrival of the delegations (policy insurance, original or copy).

Entering the World Championships without a valid medical insurance for all delegation members will be rejected.

Please check whether you need a visa to enter Italy. The Local Organising Committee will gladly assist you in applying for a visa. The assist must be requested no later than 1st November from contact@posaworld.org
